Our quantum gas experiment receives grant support from the W. M. Keck Foundation. In collaboration with our theory colleagues, we will be exploring non-equilibrium dynamics in a strongly coupled quantum material, i.e. ultracold atoms loaded into an optical lattice, and testing theory descriptions based on emergent space-time and gravity.
