Wade Hsu is taking PHYS 590 advanced physics research course with me. He brought in some ideas about digital circuits and we will be working together to build electronics for lasers and experimental controls that improves the stability and precision of some of the old analog circuit designs.

Dr. Jeff Thompson gave a talk for the quantum photonics program at the college of engineering. It is very nice to meet him again in the Midwest. We had long discussions on how to combine Harvard's single-atom/photonic crystal cavity design with Caltech's many-atoms/bandgap waveguide approach to develop a new quantum circuit.
